The climate of the region is vastly different than American wine regions. The altitude in which the grapes are harvested along with the water, temperature and soil gives it its juicy tasting balance acidity, which is a perfect pair with chicken, beef, pork or even a steak like fish. Argentina is best known for its Malbec which we do carry however the Bonarda is becoming the most popular and most sought out wine from Argentina. Bonarda is often compared to the Italian wine Charbono when it was brought from Italy to Argentina by Italian immigrants. Hangover Street is currently the only importer of the sought after Bonarda, which separates us from our competition. These grapes are grown on the mountain side, one of the highest elevations where the days are warm, and the nights are cool resulting in vibrant and fresh tasting grapes. Hangover Street are pioneers when it comes to Bonarda in the United States since we are the first importer of this special wine. Bonarda is a wine any restaurant would be able to pair with most dishes and unlike most other wine brands, it does not need to be consumed with a meal.
CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Argentina's Cabernet Sauvignon has a full body and fairly high tanning, acidity. Strong character, wood oak flavor, dry wine, with full-bodied, they are not sweet but fairly dry. Pairing with dishes with beef and lamb, appetizers like strong-flavored cheeses or cold cuts and sausages.
MALBEC
Argentina's Malbec tends to be more full-bodied high tannins, feels heavy in the mouth, dry at the end. It’s known for its dark purple color and a perfect combination of spicy and savory notes, strong, rich-bodied wine, well with most types of meat, versatile to pairing with food.
BONARDA
This Bonarda grape wine tastes like an exotic Merlot and it’s just as easy to drink; displays ample red intense color, delivering lower tannins and slightly higher, more juicy-tasting balance acidity. Matching well with chicken, beef, pork, even a steak-like
fish.
MALBEC ROSE EXTRA BRUT
Great Malbec base wine. Delicate notes of red fruit aromas, predominantly of cherries and strawberries. Very fresh in mouth, equilibrated acidity. Lovely, brilliant bubbles. Food to pair: Fried chicken, steak, caviar, oysters, salted cashews, a smooth cheese will match very well.
BONARDA
Bonarda is Argentina’s Next Red, fruity on the nose, notes of black cherry, fresh blue- berry, and plum, giving aromas of violets and allspice. Intense red color, with blue notes. Because of its lower tannin, it is a very diverse food pairing wine, matches well with any protein, even a BBQ dish.
50% MALBEC / 50% BONARDA
Bonarda gives secondary notes of leather and spice as well as some extra floral complexity, Malbec focuses less on aromatic spec, but provides the body of the blend, giving extra spice to the wine. Mediterranean vegetables, beef stews, any steak beef cuts pair perfect with this blend.
BONARDA
Mendoza Argentina is making the Next Red: 'Bonarda' has an initial burst of fruitiness, a medium-body, juicy acidity, and a smooth, low-tannin finish. It is a very diverse food pairing wine; it would match well with any grilled protein steaks even with BBQ style.
